Lady Gaga vs. Sigur Rós

Here's a nice combination of Saeglopur by Sigur Rós and Just Dance by Lady Gaga. It's nice to here Gaga's song a little differently than the original which has been playing on repeat for a month on 50% of the nation's stations.

PASSION PIT

For some reason I have never obtained neither Passion Pit's 2008 EP "Chunk of Change" nor their 2009 Album "Manners" but somehow keep stumbling onto songs one at a time from either, and each and every time I am blown away. I almost like not getting their whole discography at once, for I enjoy listening to every new song I discover over and over, and every time I feel satisfied with one song I suddenly find another to listen to. The songs Passion Pit keeps throwing into my life unknowingly blend a crazy melodic voice with such upbeat, fun rhythms that I keep thinking they wont top until I find a new song. Here are a couple of their songs, including my newest find and possibly my favorite song yet, Little Secret.

Ming & Ping - Beautiful Thing

I heard this song in a ski movie, which for the last decade have been giving me a good portion of my music and have helped create the soundtrack of my life. The Ming and Ping twins are from Hong Kong, started making music in San Fransisco and now are located in LA, and definitely have my attention with this song.

N.A.S.A. - Megamix

Here's a nice mix of select N.A.S.A. songs, featuring other artists such as David Byrne, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Tom Waits, and Method Man. N.A.S.A. (which stands for North America/South America) is made up of American Sam Spiegel and Brazilian Ze Gonzales, and just released their first album in February. Their beats and the 30 plus artists they collaborated with bring together a great mix that is sure to satisfy.

Kings of Leon vs. Four Tops

Here's an awesome mix-up of King's of Leon's Use Somebody and Four Tops "The Same Old Song." One of the hardest things about making remixes is finding two songs that go together. The words and the music of these songs go together beer and cheese.

WALE

Up and coming rapper Wale (pronounced wah-lay) was kind enough to grace the University of Vermont with his presence this Thursday, performing an evening show as well as an impromptu performance at the new student center this afternoon, helping students find yet another thing to distract them from their classes as the weekend begins. With origins in the D.C. club scene, this guy is certainly dropping some tunes that I'm guessing will attract more and more attention, recently recording a track featuring Lady Gaga on his album to be released this summer. Here is "Chillin' feat. Lady Gaga" of his new album and "W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E." off his July 2007 album "100 Miles and Running." Watch out, this shit is hot.

Take On Me (The Twelves remix)

I feel as if our generation owes a lot to Will Ferrell, who time after time is able to produce stand-ups and films that for some reason never get old. While for the past few years his (still) hilarious films are basically the same character in a different situation, the 1998 classic "A Night at the Roxbury" shows a different side to Ferrell, and with quite a bumping soundtrack to back him and Chris Kattan up on their escapades. One of those catchy tunes was A-Ha's Take On Me, which I sometimes find stuck in my head even without having listened to it in months. Here is a remix of that song with a Chromeo style beat that'll make you head bump for sure.
